Last weekend was tough luck on Miss State as for the second year in a row they could not defend the triple option. I really thought they had the personnel to stop the run and they certainly had the offense scoring 31 on Georgia Tech, but Nesbit was 11/14 and threw for 274 yards mostly to their 6'3 229 physical WR Demaryous Thomas. This week in a match up with two SEC teams I know well!

This will be a fun game in the SEC that I will surely tune into on ESPN. It could be a top SEC play, but because we have Florida @ LSU and Alabama @ Miss this is really third on my list of SEC must watch match ups! I'm still not buying into Auburn as a top 25 team and I think they will be out of the Top 25 much faster than they were in the Top 25 which only took a 5-0 start for them to do so. They have a balanced attack and they have beaten some pretty good teams in Miss State, West Virginia, and Tennessee. Again, this is not a strong schedule considering what they are about to face and a 9 or 10 win seems unlikely considering Auburn has road games at LSU and Georgia awaiting them after a trip to Arkansas. Arkansas has talent and they are off a blowout win over Texas A&M and are the SEC's top passing team behind strong armed QB Ryan Mallett. They're breaking Arkansas offensive records and that is no surprise with Bobby Petrino behind the helm.

Why Arkansas wins. They are much more battle tested with games against Georgia and Alabama. I'm not buying a win @ Miss State for Auburn and Tennessee last week. You can also discount West Virginia coming from the Big East in my opinion. Arkansas despite facing some tough teams still have the 18th ranked offense. Auburn's secondary really has not been tested by a solid QB and they made Tennessee's Johnathan Crompton look good last week which I could end right here and you would be confident with the play on Arkansas. There is no question Auburn should be able to move the ball against Arkansas, but they did hold Alabama to just 35 points who seem to put points up on everyone. Don't be surprised to see Auburn less effective than usual offensively when they are on the road. Arkansas was able to put pressure on A&M QB Johnson all day long so I think we'll see an improved Arkansas Defense. We saw Auburn only scored 26 against Tenn last week on the road in their first road test, but still got enough to win. 26 points won't be even close to enough to win this game on Saturday against the Razorbacks who need and want this game as they sit at 0-2 and are looking up at the SEC West right now. Bottom line the road ahead for Arkansas is tough with road games at Florida and Miss before returning home. They will get this game.
